These models demonstrate how to use UDP communication (in xPC Target) to distribute pieces of a simulation amongst multiple computers.
Use the Manual Switch in "Model_A" to turn on/off a SubSystem in "Model_B". It's simple to see how this method could be extended to a larger number of computers in a network.
You don't need multiple computers to run these models. It is set up to run on a single computer. To run on multiple computers, you must configure the UDP send/receive blocks with the proper IP addresses.
The DLL is just an s-function that slows the simulation speed down to something close to real-time. It's also listed in MATLAB Central under "Pseudo Real Time in Simulink" Requirements:
