Ganglia is to clusters just like Google Analytics is to a website.
It will record various usage and performance parameters and present them via a Web client for analysis.
Ganglia is technology agnostic and it can be installed with almost any kind of server, from databases, to cloud grids and up to regular traffic servers.
RRDtool is used with Ganglia for data storage and chart visualization.
